MORE than 200 children were told to stay at home yesterday after a decision to close an Edinburgh primary where 166 windows were smashed.

At least #10,000 worth of damage was caused to Prestonfield Primary School. As well as the broken windows, slates were pulled from the roof and sky-lights wrecked. Police said yesterday that a 13-year-old boy had been questioned in connection with the incident at the school, and a report would be sent to the children's panel.
