SCOTTISH Industry Minister Brian Wilson yesterday praised the workforce of Continental Tyres at Newbridge, near Edinburgh, for accepting more flexible working practices which have brought prosperity to the once threatened plant.
Flexible shift arrangements have allowed the plant to work around-the-clock and staffing has increased by 200.
