DETECTIVES in Edinburgh were last night hunting an armed robber in his late 20s who held up a bookmaker's shop in the city's Gorgie Road late yesterday afternoon.
The man, who was said to be of slim build with black hair, and was wearing a dark-blue mid length jacket and balaclava, waved what appeared to be a rifle at staff. He was carrying a white holdall and was thought to have been hanging about outside before entering the shop.
Police have appealed for witnesses to contact detectives at West End Police Station on 0131-229-2049.
