World Cup beefcake

World Cup widows are being offered hunky ''shop-a-rones'' by a leading supermarket chain to help with the weekly shopping while absent menfolk watch the tournament on television.

Asda said it will provide ''a selection of handsome hunks'' at its 217 branches for all England and Scotland games, and will pilot it at four hypermarkets this weekend, during the English and Scottish Cup Finals.

The escorts will push the shopping trolley, collect forgotten items and carry bags to the car. A spokesman said they would also satisfy any other requests ''within socially acceptable limits''.
