A PLAN to operate a hovercraft service between the fishing port of Kirkcudbright and the Isle of Man could provide up to 50 jobs.
Local businessmen Douglas Swan and Ali Thomson are hoping to find #500,000 backing for a month-long trial this summer. The Sea Coach project would carry up to 90 passengers, light mail and freight on the one-hour crossing. The pair are looking for support from Dumfries and Galloway Council and the local enterprise project.
