KILMARNOCK are planning to turn Rugby Park into a carnival to secure the side's place in Europe.

Bobby Williamson's men take on Hibs on Saturday, knowing a win that will guarantee fourth place in the league and a UEFA Cup slot. The Ayrshire club are pulling out the stops to guarantee a party atmosphere to end a successful season and have hired a Samba band to play before the match and at half-time, while 2500 tickets will be given to local schoolchildren.

Balloons will also be handed out at the gate and commercial manager Jim McSherry is hoping the fans can inspire the team to victory. He said: ''It's a really big day for the club and we have the chance to clinch a place in Europe.

''We've had a marvellous season and it would be great to finish on a high. With the band, the free tickets, and everything else we have planned, we're hoping as many supporters as possible will make it along for what should be a great day.''
