DEVELOPERS have scored a retail goal at Clydebank FC's former ground. Morrison Developments and Vico Ltd have been given the go-ahead for a #10m retail warehouse and fast food scheme on the derelict Kilbowie Park site, which is close to the existing shopping centre and cinema complex.

The development will total some 5760sq m (62,000sq ft) and provide 300 parking spaces. Construction is

scheduled immediately, with completion due for October.

Morrison director Stewart Bates said that the joint developers are in

discussions about possible pre-lets.

Clydebank FC quit the stadium last year and currently shares Dumbarton FC's Boghead ground. The Bankies are considering a controversial move to Dublin.
