I REALISE that most of the British TV dramas would have been adapted from works by English authors and playwrights and, as such, do not bother me. However, I have noted over a considerable period that, in these presentations, an apparent preponderance of drunks and criminals, ranging from petty to psychopaths, are depicted as Scots.

Does this accurately reflect the place and character of Scots in British society and, if not, should this trend be brought to the notice of the Race Relations Board? The latest drama to reflect this trend was Touching Evil on ITV.
