Shocktroops Stoneywood-Dyce justified Poloc skipper Keith Sheridan's pre-match concerns with a comprehensive victory at Shawholm.
Sheridan had expressed fears about the visit of a side who just 12 months ago were playing in the less glamorous surroundings of the Strathmore Union.
His worries increased soon after the start when professional Mohammed Ramzan's home debut was brought to an early end by Robert Lamb, who accepted a caught and bowled chance from the Pakistani Test opener.
Lamb went on to dent home hopes further by bowling Sheridan soon after, sparking a regular fall of wickets which saw Poloc skittled for a mere 68.

However, it was to prove a good day for the Lamb clan, with Robert's brother David leading the run chase. After the loss of two early wickets, Lamb decided to take the aerial route to runs, hitting three 6s on his way to an undefeated 38.
McKnight's day was ruined when Lamb hit one delivery for a straight 6 to finish the match.
Batsman Lamb said: ''This was a great win for us. To be fair, the wicket wasn't great and it was an important toss to win, but we've shown in the first two weeks of the season that we can live at this level.''
Perthshire's ambitions, meanwhile, continue to be undermined by the absence of their professional, Lal Rajput. The North Inch club are still awaiting a work permit for their Indian pro.
He was sorely missed at Hamilton Crescent in a game dominated by West of Scotland.
