ATLANTIC Telecom is set to announce plans to raise a new round of funding when it publishes annual results in a few weeks time, executive chairman Graham Duncan said.

The group pulled an ambitious 10-year bond issue two months ago due to market condition.

''The market if anything has perhaps been getting worse. We have also been looking at other forms of debt such as senior debt,'' Duncan said.

Atlantic reported 17,612 lines installed and pending installation, up from 5100 a year ago, while its business operation, Logicall, has more than trebled lines installed to 13,471 and has 31,083 lines pending installation.

The chairman said the 3% penetration on the Glasgow network had been achieved in 17 months rather than the expected three years.
