A SEARCH was under way early this morning for an overdue hillwalker in Wester Ross after he failed to rendezvous with a friend. Northern Constabulary said the hillwalker's friend raised the alarm about 8pm, three hours after they had arranged to meet at their car, which had been parked at Loch Droma. Members of Dundonnell mountain rescue team and an RAF helicopter from Lossiemouth were scrambled to search for the man, in his 40s, who had been walking in Fannig Ridge, near Ullapool.
