Actor attacks TV sacking
Actor Jack Shepherd, who stars in ITV's detective series Wycliffe, has criticised programme makers for dumping his co-star Jimmy Yuill, who played Detective Inspector Doug Kersey, after he became seriously ill with meningitis. Shepherd, left, claimed he was considering refusing to do a sixth series. An HTV spokesman said there were insurance complications.
