POLICE were yesterday treating as suspicious a tenement blaze in which two people were injured.
Ms Angela Hall, 35, and Mr Paul Bell, 23, were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke following the fire at Patrick Finn Court, Cumnock, Ayrshire, which broke out at 1.30am yesterday.
Firefighters led residents to safety after flames and choking fumes erupted from a sofa and armchairs left at the bottom of the close. Police fear the fire was started by vandals.
