External relations director at St Andrews University, Mr Peter King - the most senior non-academic employee at Scotland's oldest university - has been suspended from his post, although mystery still surrounds the full circumstances of the decision. A St Andrews spokesman said: ''We can now confirm that Peter King is suspended. The matter is in the hands of the University Court.''
