A growth in the number of English visitors is expected to more than offset a drop in overseas tourists coming to Scotland this summer, experts said yesterday. The strong pound has hit bookings by foreign visitors, according to the Scottish Tourism Index, which is produced by the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Scottish Tourist Board, but most sectors of the industry are expected to be at least 13% busier this summer than last year.
