Victor Riley, of the founding family, is once again lending his support to the Scottish National Riley Rally. Based in Strathaven, the two-day event begins tomorrow morning with a display in the town's George Allan Park.

More than 50 Rileys will be on show, from a 1929 Mark IV via Monacos and Kestrels of the

thirties, and the highly regarded post-war RM saloons, to the later BMC types.

Tomorrow afternoon some cars will head for the Kames sprint circuit at Muirkirk, the others to New Lanark. Sunday's run, starting at midday, heads for the Lowther Hills, by way of Muirkirk, Glespin and Crawfordjohn to Leadhills and Wanlockhead.

There will be some Rileys too, as well as Morris, Austin, Wolseley, MG and other makes, at Sunday's Scottish BMC Car Club rally in Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride.

All the activity is centred on Calderglen, with a start time of 11am, and there is no road run.
