STEFAN Klos will take the next stage in his battle to join Rangers to the German courts while Scotland are playing Brazil.

The Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper has been told he could be frozen out of football for four years in a bitter contract dispute with the German club.

Although Klos won the latest court case, the Bundesliga club will take their appeal to court on the afternoon of June 10 - the same day as the opening World Cup match. This is the third time the dispute has gone to the courts.

Rangers chairman David Murray, however, stated after the second court hearing on Tuesday that he was confident that Klos, who has already bought a house in Scotland, would become a Rangers player under the Bosman ruling.

He said: ''Our legal advice is very accurate and we are sure he will come here under freedom of contract, whether it takes one month or six months.''

Meanwhile, Bradford City last night pledged to break the bank to win the race for Rangers player Stuart McCall.

The veteran midfielder, despite having a year of his contract to run, has admitted he is set to join the Ibrox exodus.

English first-division sides Barnsley and Huddersfield are also keen on McCall, but the 33-year-old has never hidden his love for the Yorkshire club where he started his career.

Bradford chairman Geoffrey Richmond is determined to tie up a deal next week. He said: ''Stuart is arguably our most popular ever. We became aware over the weekend that he was likely to be available.

''Our manager Paul Jewell spoke to Stuart on Monday and told him we were extremely interested. Stuart said he was happy to hear that. He has travelled to Toronto with Rangers, but will be back early next week and we'll begin talking then.''
