HOLIDAY weekenders are being invited to an open day on board the Maid of the Loch at Balloch Pier tomorrow, between 10am and 4pm, to inspect progress on the restoration of the paddle steamer, above, which last sailed in 1981. It coincides with the Maid's 45th birthday and her owners, the Loch Lomond Steamship Company, remain hopeful that although #2m is still required to complete the work, she will be restored to service for the millennium.
