I'M afraid Professor Gemmell Morgan is wrong again as regards smaller countries being swallowed up by Germany (May 18). He lists Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as being three small countries that were swallowed. These three countries he mentions, along with Ukraine, welcomed the German Army with open arms. The only danger the Germans were in was the possibility of being struck with some flowers.

The infamous Einsatzgruppen (Killing Group) consisted of men from these countries, and were renowned for their cruelty.
