HUNDREDS of Scottish ex-servicemen who were Japanese prisoners of war are preparing to join fellow PoWs in London for a demonstration when the Japanese Emperor arrives on a State visit on Tuesday.

Emperor Akihito, right, is to be awarded the Order of the Garter by the Queen.

The Japanese Labour Camps Survivors Association, which wants #14,000 compensation for each survivor and a full apology from the Japanese, expects around 200 Scots veterans to be at the demo.
