SCOTTISH football officials will keep a close watch on the career of Glasgow referee Willie Collum. The 19-year-old showed on Saturday that he was not afraid to make hard decisions, sending off three players in the Scottish Amateur Cup final at Hampden as Dalziel High School FP beat West Kilbride 2-1.

Graeme Higgins was the hero for Dalziel, scoring the winner in extra time. But West Kilbride were left reeling when Collum red-carded Colin Greenham on the 90 minutes mark. The substituted Ted O'Rourke was also sent off for arguing from the dug-out. Then, in the final minute of extra time, John McLaughlin became the third West Kilbride player to be sent off.
