THE Scottish Office has commissioned research to establish the extent of drug-related crime in Fife, where offences rose by 22% last year. The object is improved targeting of police resources. Fife Constabulary is also entering a partnership with Fife Council and other agencies to promote safer communities. It is the first Fife-wide approach to addressing a wide range of crime issues, including racial harassment, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
