SCOTLAND'S newest literary prize has attracted so many entries its organisers fear they will be forced to delay announcing the winner by three months. Today is the deadline for the Dundee Book Prize, and already the organisers have taken delivery of 72 manuscripts of novels set in the city. The prize is #6000 and a publishing deal with Polygon.

The prize, launched last year by the City of Discovery Campaign and Dundee University, has even attracted entries from South Africa.
