Drumpellier today face a decisive afternoon which could shape the remainder of their season.

For an accurate definition of ''Unpredictable,'' look no further than the Coatbridge side's record to date. As skipper Alan Stevenson pointed out: ''We've played four and had every result possible - a win, a loss, a winning draw, and a losing draw.

''It's now time to find some consistent winning form if we want into the top league next season.''

That may not be easy when unbeaten Falkland visit Langloan. The Fifers have seen themselves rocket into the top three.

However, with just two matches completed, that may be due as much to the indifferent form of others such as Drumpellier.

Skipper Brian Watson said: ''I've been delighted with the form and commitment of the lads, but it's disappointing that we've been affected more than others by the weather.

''A game at Corstorphine which we fancied was rained off, and we had done well against Strathmore last week before it was also washed out.''

Falkland will be at full strength, with Davie Gray recovered from a broken finger sustained on the first day of the season.

However, Drumps have doubts over their professional, Scott Purdie. The Kiwi-based Scot damaged a shoulder two weeks ago and was undergoing treatment last night.

Stevenson added: ''It's touch and go. My hunch is that he'll play but won't bowl. That would be a big blow because we could really do with his firepower.''

qIf the Langloan clash looks difficult to call, the same could be said of RHSM's visit to Poloc.

The Edinburgh side have surged into contention after putting together a run of three straight wins since their opening day defeat at West of Scotland and may start favourites.

However, Poloc could challenge even Drumpellier for unpredictability and on their day are capable of beating anyone.

They will surely need one of their good days against in-form RHSM whose skipper Rob Thornton is convinced will make it into next season's top flight.

''Apart from our first game against West, I've been happy with our progress,'' said the captain.

''Our defeat that day was as much due to lack of pre-season practise as anything else.''

Alan Speirs should return for the visitors.

qWest of Scotland's unbeaten record will be tested on their trip to Stoneywood-Dyce.

The Aberdeen side have lost their last two but are quick to point out that they were in a winning position in both.

qCarlton hope to get back on the rails with home advantage in their Edinburgh derby with Corstorphine, while rock-bottom Perthshire must take something from the visit of Strathmore.
