AMBULANCE staff have returned to work at the station they abandoned because of an invasion of rats. A crew at the Kyleakin base on Skye were in the middle of a meal when they were called to an emergency. When they returned, they found teeth marks on their food.
The station was closed for several weeks and paramedics worked from home on rota as checks were made for vermin.
