A PENSIONER appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday charged with the attempted murder of his wife. Alexander William Keith, 81, appeared in private before Sheriff Richard Scott charged with attempting to murder his wife, Jean, also aged 81, at their home at 13 Jamieson Place, Edinburgh, on Monday. The case was con- tinued and Mr Keith was allowed bail.
