JIM Woods, managing director of Dundee-based DMA Design, has resigned his post following US parent company Take 2's decision to relocate all operations in Edinburgh, writes Kristy Dorsey.

Woods said he decided to quit because he wanted to remain in Dundee, where he has headed up games designer DMA for the past three years. He is now working out a

three-month notice period, after which he will examine local employment options.

Asked whether he might set up a new software business in Dundee, Woods refused to comment.

DMA has some 35 staff in Dundee, most of whom are believed to have been offered employment in Edinburgh. The company opened the Edinburgh office last year,

and employs about 25 people there.

The move is expected to be completed within the next three months, and comes amid a reorganisation that will see DMA and fellow subsidiary Rockstar games combined

into one business unit with Pixel of Tel Aviv.
