Labour stalwart Lord Shore dies
THE former Labour cabinet minister Lord Shore of Stepney died yesterday in a London hospital. He was 77. As Peter Shore he served as a minister under Harold Wilson and James Callaghan. He became a life peer in 1997, and in recent years has been a fierce critic of the EU.
