IT will be lonely this Christmas for Abraham Baxter. He is refusing to move to make way for a controversial scheme.

On Christmas Day, he will be home alone in St Clement's Terrace, Dundee - the defiant last tenant in a tenement block scheduled to become a fortress to rehabilitate ``neighbours from hell''.

Despite the noise and dust generated by workmen transforming the tenement into a #1m high-security unit, Mr Baxter is sitting tight.

He said: ``I'm just sick of getting pushed around. The good tenants are having to make way for the bad in this block.''
