A MAN was attacked with an open razor outside a Glasgow primary school yesterday as hundreds of children were leaving Christmas parties.

The attacker slashed the man three times on the face as pupils, clutching Christmas presents, left Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School in Tarfside, Cardonald, on the city's South Side.

Primary three to seven pupils leaving the school at 3.15pm were said to have been shocked as blood poured from the victim's face.

He had been waiting with the mother of a pupil outside the school when he was approached by another man. One mother of two children at the school said the men became involved in a row outside the school's gates. It is believed the argument was over drugs.

Strathclyde Police last night said: ''There was a fight involving two men. Inquiries are continuing.''
