Clydebank fans will be told tonight that controversial

chairman Sandy Moffat has quit the ailing club. The news will be delivered at a meeting of United Clydebank Supporters, which will also learn the club has just two weeks to decide where it will play next season.

Plans must be lodged with the Scottish League by the end of the month, but, amazingly, Bankies do not have a single director in the country. Fans will back proposals to return the club to a site near the Yoker Ferry, but it looks certain they will remain for another season at Dumbarton.
