Police frogmen yesterday searched a river and a canal for the weapon
used to kill anorexia nervosa sufferer Mrs Carmel Gamble whose body was
found in her blazing home on Walkley Hill, Rodborough.
Detectives in Stroud, Gloucestershire, believe a hammer or similar
blunt instrument was used to batter Mrs Gamble, 43, who weighed just 4st
2lb.
