Mo Mowlam, the former Northern Ireland secretary, has bitterly criticised Peter Mandelson, the man who succeeded her in the job, saying he ignored people once they were of no more direct use to him. Ms Mowlam was speaking in an interview in advance of next week's publication of her controversial book Momentum. ''It's always, Peter, Peter, Peter, without seeing the full picture in a rounded sense,'' she said. ''So I don't think he necessarily did a good job.''
