A SCOT, born in Kircaldy, and educated at Kircaldy High School and

Edinburgh University, will take up a senior post with the Royal Air

Force this week as Air Officer for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Air

Vice Marshal Jim Morris, who completed his flying training in 1959, will

be based at RAF Pitreavie Castle, near Dunfermline. AVM Morris, who is

married with three sons, served as Director of Operational Requirements

(Air) in the Ministry of Defence. He succeeds AVM David Brook, who is

going to London to take up an appointment at the Royal College of

Defence Studies.
