A SECOND World War Fairey Swordfish torpedo-bomber -- popularly known

as the ''string bag'' -- was the centrepiece of anniversary celebrations

at a naval base. The 50-year-old biplane had been taken by road to the

base at Portland, Dorset, from HMS Daedelus, at Lee-on-Solent, Hants, to

mark the 30th anniversary of 815 Naval Air Squadron, the first squadron

at the base's HMS Osprey air station in the 1950s.
