Alison died peacefully on September 13 2024, aged 92 years, in Edmonton.
She leaves behind nephews Colin, Niall and niece Catriona.
Alison had a very successful career spanning 50 years within the University of Alberta, Canada, in the field of biochemical research. She remained active and committed to her many and varied interests focused on the environment and natural resources, her first exposure to this being through Glasgow University Mountaineering Club. A scholarship in her name has been established at the University of Alberta.
