DOUGRAY - William MBE Peacefully, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, on Saturday, 8th June 2024, Willie Dougray MBE, beloved husband of Eleanor, devoted dad of Janice and Lindsey, adored grandpa of Ainsley, Andrew and Finlay. Willie will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service at St Andrews Parish Church, Barrhead on Wednesday 19th June at 12 noon, Funeral thereafter to The Hurlet Crematorium for 1pm. No flowers please. Donations may be given, if desired to Barrhead Memory Lane.

I was so sorry to hear about Willie's passing and my sympaties go to Eleanor, Janice & Lindsay.
Our families often got together when I was young and 'Uncle Willie' always had a kind word and a way to make everyone smile - I enjoyed his company very much, as I think did everyone who knew him.
I can imagine how proud his family were when he received his MBE for services to his community (as well as how characteristically humble Willie would have been) and I very much doubt that I've ever met anyone who took the idea of service to his fellows so much to heart or was more deserving of such recognition.
Willie seems to me to be the epitome of good citizenship and a model of a life well lived.
