SMITH-LEACH - George Assistant Chief Constable, British Transport Police, 11th March 1924 19th May 2024 George Patrick Smith-Leach, soldier and D-Day Veteran, police officer, public servant, charity worker, loving husband, mentor and father figure to his large extended family, passed peacefully at his home in Troon this last Sunday. He had 100 amazing innings. Funeral Service and Reception commencing from 12 noon on Wednesday 5th June at Our Lady of the Assumption & St Meddan Church, 4 Cessnock Road, Troon, KA10 6NJ.
