Stanley 'Stan' Breingan

BREINGAN - Stanley 'Stan' Stan passed away peacefully at The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow on Sunday 5th May 2024. Loving Husband to Katrina, beloved Dad to his brood of 12 and adored Grandpa. Stan will be remembered for being a chartered surveyor, ice hockey coach/player and jazz pianist. His funeral will take place on Thursday 23rd May 2024 at 10.30am in St Nicholas Parish Church, 3 Bellevue Road, Prestwick KA9 1NW.

Stan was an enthusiastic participant in all his interests. In particular he researched diligently the early years of Scotland's Trad jazz scene and his work will be critical for future researchers. He played piano, raised a sizeable family, and kept lids on various boiling activities including his day job - Strathclyde's Regional Assessor for Ayr. He was due a break.
