MacDONALD - Edgar "Gary" Stoically, surrounded by his family on 25th October 2023 at Western General Hospital Edinburgh from lymphoma, aged 79. Scholarship winner at Hutchesons' Grammar, graduate of the Faculty of Divinity, Glasgow University, and former Principal Teacher of Classics and RMPS in South Lanarkshire, Gary was the beloved husband of Yvonne and very proud father of Sabina, Philip, Mhairi, Caitlin, Fionnbharr and Luke, and loving grandfather to Lori and Cleo. An inspiring teacher, exceptional storyteller and man of the highest calibre. Prior to interment at Sannox Old Churchyard, Isle of Arran, Gary's funeral service will be held at North Leith Parish Church, Edinburgh at 2pm on Friday 10th November, to which all family and friends are warmly invited.
