RUSSELL - Jean (née Kirkland) Peacefully at University Hospital Wishaw on Saturday 10th June 2023, after a short illness, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur, and much loved mother of Grace, Margaret, Jean and Hugh. Dear mother-in-law to Alex, Hunter, Ian and the late Rona. A constant presence in the lives of her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who have many precious memories to keep. Born at High Hook Farm, Strathaven and late of High & Low Whiteside Farms, Lesmahagow, Jean was well known in her community as a member of Avondale YFC in her youth as well as her active involvement with Waterside WRI, Lesmahagow Curling Club and Lesmahagow Farmers' Society over many subsequent decades. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Funeral service at Kirkmuirhill Parish Church, Kirkmuirhill at 2pm on 28th June and thereafter interment at 3pm in Lesmahagow Cemetery.
