MACKAY - David William OBE After a resolute fight against cancer, David Mackay, a well-known and respected leader in environmental conservation and protection, sadly passed away at home in Stirling on Monday 24th April 2023, aged 87 years. David was formerly the Director of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) and board member of Scottish Natural Heritage. He was also made a Doctor of the University of Paisley and an Honorary Professor of the universities of Strathclyde and Stirling. He is survived by his second wife Felicity, whom he married in 2016, and his stepson Jay. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday 10th May 2023 at Stirlingshire Crematorium at 11am, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
