McCARTY - Christine Stevenson Carmichael Our mother is coming home to Glasgow after living overseas for many years. Her ashes will be dispersed in the Daldowie Crematorium Garden on 26th May 2023. She was born on 18th April 1923 and earned math and physics degrees at the University of Glasgow. In 1948, she accepted a teaching position at Queen Aliyah College in Baghdad, Iraq. She met and married our father from the American Embassy. They lived in 8 diplomatic posts. Our mother passed away in Florida on 12th February 2021. But she always missed Scotland.
