McCALISTER - Malcolm It is with great sadness that the family of Mr Malcolm McCalister announces his passing on 17th March, 2023 at the age of 80. Malcolm passed peacefully with his family by his side. Malcolm was born on 3rd November, 1942 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was here he started his career as a journalist for multiple local papers before progressing to the BBC and then Ulster TV. In 1982 he moved to Glasgow to work for STV before founding Scope Picture Productions. He later founded Edit 123 Television Facilities, which he ran for over 30 years, before semi-retiring to spend more time with family and watch his beloved Formula 1. He is survived by his wife Yvonne, sons Andrew (Tonya) and Jonathan (Victoria), granddaughter Eloise, brother Neill and dog Buddy. Funeral service on 5th April at Giffnock South Parish Church at 10.45am, thereafter at The Hurlet Crematorium at noon, followed by a funeral tea at Dalmeny Park Hotel. Family flowers only please.
