COCHRANE - Eileen (née Cuthbertson) Peacefully, after a short illness, at home in Ayr on Wednesday 29th June 2022, aged 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Will Cochrane; cherished cousin, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and much-loved friend to many. A retired primary teacher, Eileen was popular with pupils and respected by colleagues. She taught in Canada early in her career and travelled across North America before returning to Scotland where she lived a full life. A keen country dancer and musician, Eileen took up table tennis in her seventies and was still roaming the globe independently well into her eighties. She loved the great outdoors, and was happiest exploring Scotland in her car or enjoying her garden with friends, family and her treasured dog Echo. We will miss her zest for life, her humour and feisty spirit, but so many memories live on in stories we share. Family and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service on Friday 22nd July, 12 noon at Kells Cemetery, New Galloway.
