SOMERVILLE - William "Bill - Curly" It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William Somerville on 9th April 2022 at 98 years old while in Canada. Bill passed away peacefully with his family by his side he was predeceased by his wife Anna and daughter Linda. Bill will be missed by his two children, Christine Cameron and Bill Somerville and their spouses Romeyn and Maggie, his grandchildren: Vikki and Grant - Suzanne, David and Fiona and Liam and Kevin. During his Mining Career, Bill became an Explosives Expert and part of the search and rescue team for Lanarkshire. Bill was also the Club Steward at Milngavie, Cathkin Braes and Glasgow Golf Clubs. Bill and Anna also owned businesses in Newmains and a hotel in Maybole, Ayrshire.
