SHAW - W Raymond It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of W Raymond Shaw, aged 92, on 1st March 2022. Greatly loved by his family and a wonderful friend to many. A truly unique character who loved life from Belfast to Paisley, Oban to Shawlands, Glasgow. Funeral service on Saturday 12th March 2022 at 11am, Sherwood Greenlaw Parish Church, Glasgow Road, Paisley PA1 3PA. All family and friends from near and far are most welcome to celebrate a life well lived. Sure and Steadfast to the end. Anyone who knew Raymond can contact dougie.w@btinternet.com

I seem to remember my Father affectionately referring to Raymond Shaw as the Laird. My father, Hugh Johnstone and Raymond Shaw were friends from the Boys Brigade and Raymond along with Hugh were guardians to my sister Sheila and I when we were at boarding school. It was a privilege for me and I am sure many others to have had Raymond Shaw in our lives and he has left an indelible impression on our hearts and memories.
