RICE - Professor Sir Duncan (Longniddry) At home with family by his side on Thursday 3rd February 2022, aged 79 years. A distinguished historian and innovative leader in higher education, Sir Duncan was a devoted husband to Dame Susan; a much loved father of Jane, Sam and James; and in recent months, became a grandfather to Camilla and Zoya. A funeral service to mark our loss will take place in the Lorimer Chapel at Warriston Crematorium in Edinburgh at 1pm on Friday 4th March 2022, family flowers only, please.
