HEATH - Alan John Of Woodhall Spa, passed away after a short illness at Bramhall Residential Home in Tattershall, Lincolnshire, on 12th January, 2022. He was 96 years old. Alan, who grew up in Hampton Court, led a rich and full life. As a teenager, he trained in metallurgy and worked during the Second World War, certifying the strength of metals used to build the nation's ships, planes and munitions. While on holiday in the Scottish Highlands, he met his late wife Elizabeth Hammill (née Meiklejohn), a beautiful and charming Glaswegian. He was loved by family and friends for his character, wit and intelligence. Funeral service to be held at Boston Crematorium on Wednesday 16th February 2022 at 2.30pm. Family flowers only, donations if desired to be divided by The Dogs Trust and the Royal Star and Garter Home. All enquiries to Michael H. Sivill, Funeral Director, Leagate Road, Coningsby, Lincoln.
