McDIARMID - Christine Muir (nee Meek) Peacefully, at home, on 17th December, 2021, Christine, beloved wife of Duncan, loving mother of Fergus and Graeme, wonderful and adored Grandma to Euan, Innes, Laura and Ailis. A Committal Service will be held at the Linn Crematorium, Lainshaw Drive, G45 9SP on Monday 17th January 2022 at 11am and a Thanksgiving Service thereafter at Shawlands Trinity Church, Shawlands Cross, G41 3TP at 12 noon. All welcome. Family flowers only please.

Christine and I became friends at the age of five at Thornwood Public School. She and I continued together through Hyndland Secondary School, then I to Glasgow University and she to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music as a full-time student.
Music played a large role in our lives, Christine being a beautiful and most accomplished pianist, and myself a violinist.
We always remained cherished friends, coming together with families over the miles and years.
My friend Christine, generous, thoughtful, loving and true, showed an abundance of kindness to all who knew her and a natural insightfulness when dealing with people; this I admired greatly..
My daughters Carol and Elaine and myself send our condolences to Duncan, Fergus, Graeme and their families.
